Welcoming our Brother Knights

On June 4, 2026, the Scranton Exemplification Team conducted an Exemplification of Charity, Unity and Fraternity at St. Ann’s Basilica in Scranton, Pennsylvania. The occasion welcomed new Brother Knights and called them to live the principles at the heart of the Knights of Columbus.

Charity calls us to serve those in need. Unity brings us together in faith and shared purpose. Fraternity strengthens the bonds of brotherhood through encouragement, friendship, and care for one another and our families. Together, these principles guide a life of faith put into action.

A special connection to our founder

This Exemplification held special significance because a First Class Relic of Blessed Michael J. McGivney, founder of the Knights of Columbus, was present. The new Brother Knights and all those in attendance had the opportunity to venerate the relic.

The opportunity for veneration brought a meaningful moment of prayer and reflection to the occasion, connecting the new members’ commitment to the faith and example of Blessed Michael J. McGivney. His vision of Catholic brotherhood and service continues to inspire Knights and their families.

We welcome our new Brother Knights and thank the Scranton Exemplification Team and everyone who helped make this occasion a memorable expression of charity, unity, and fraternity.
