A commitment to serve
On July 7, 2026, St. Ann’s Basilica Council 12572 held its Installation of Council Officers. District Deputy John Scandale, PGK presided over the installation.
Installation affirms the trust placed in council officers and their responsibility to lead with faith, humility, and brotherly love. At the beginning of a new fraternal year, it calls them to work as a united team, strengthen parish and family life, and guide the council’s charitable service. It also invites every brother Knight to support the officers in carrying out that mission.
The symbolism of the ceremony
The officers’ jewels, or medals of office, symbolize the authority, duties, and responsibilities entrusted to each leader. The cross points to the foundation of that service in Christ and the Catholic faith. In these photographs, the jewels displayed on a wooden cross offer a visible reminder of that connection: leadership is a call to put faith into action through charity, unity, and fraternity.
We congratulate our council officers and offer our prayers for wisdom, cooperation, and a fruitful year of service.
